DOXA

DOXA is HUFA’s weekly large group worship meeting. The word "doxa" stems from the ancient Greek word for glory, and we give glory to the Lord during this time through worship, prayer, teaching, and fellowship. We often invite guest speakers, hear testimonies, and follow up the meeting with refreshments and a social at post-DOXA. It is held every Friday from 7:30 – 9:00 pm in Fong Auditorium, located in Boylston Hall in the Yard. Newcomers are always welcome!

Bible Course

Bible Courses are HUFA’s main ministry on the Harvard campus, and we welcome believers and non-believers of any background. The courses are taught in the HUFA Office (64 Church St.) by seminary-trained ministry fellows and are divided by gender and year. Bible Courses offer you the chance to take an in-depth look at an individual book of the Bible each semester, which includes studying the many theological viewpoints of the top biblical scholars and seeking to understand the ways of Jesus more accurately and passionately. Additionally, we study the historical background, biblical exegesis, and the Greek and Hebrew scriptural language of each passage.

Retreats

Retreats are a fun opportunity to get away from campus for a weekend while seeking God and forming friendships in a beautiful setting! HUFA has three retreats each year: pre-retreat, fall retreat, and winter retreat.  Past retreat destinations include Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Each retreat costs between $40-$80, but financial assistance is available at request.
